EYEBROW MICROBLADING

What is Microblading?

Microblading is a semi permanent, superficial solution to sparse, thinning, overtaxed, and over plucked eyebrows. It’s ideal for covering gaps, defining shape, creating an arch or filling in the brows. Microblading allows to construct natural looking eyebrows for people with very little or no brows hairs. The procedure is perfect for both women and men. Eyebrow Microblading is a manual method of depositing a small amount of pigment in the outer layer of the skin without reaching the dermis. The needle used in manual microblading is three times thinner than the one used in a machine, which allows to create very crisp, fine strokes that do not blur after healing correctly.

Before your appointment

Microblading results create amazing looking eyebrows, however the procedure is not recommended for everyone. To prevent any complications related to your overall well being, please review the suggestions/requirements and contraindications below.

***Appointments typically last 2 hours; babies or children can not be present during your appointment, so please make the necessary arrangements in advance.

SUGGESTIONS / REQUIREMENTS BEFORE MICROBLADING PROCEDURE:

  • No Botox treatments should be done 3 weeks prior or 4 weeks after procedure

  • No chemical peels 60 days before or after procedure (brows will peel quicker due to chemicals traveling under the skin)

  • No Retinols/Retin-A or other anti-aging/acne creams, or serums containing acids as these will fade brows prematurely

  • Do not work out or sweat heavily the day of the procedure (Or 2 weeks after)

  • Do not tan or have a sunburned face the day of the procedure

  • Do not take aspirin, niacin, vitamin E, or ibuprofen 48 hours before procedure

Aftercare Instructions

FOLLOW CAREFULLY

Following the microblading aftercare instructions is imperative to give your fully healed eyebrows the naturally beautiful look you want.

FAILURE TO FOLLOW AFTER-CARE INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN INFECTIONS, PIGMENT LOSS OR DISCOLORATION.

***IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO NOT LET ANY WATER, SOAP, LOTION, OR MAKEUP, COME IN CONTACT WITH YOUR MICROBLADED EYEBROWS DURING THE FIRST 10 DAYS.

While showering keep your face completely away from the shower head, or take a bath to avoid any water from contacting your microbladed eyebrows.

AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS

DAY 1

  • Avoid any contact with your eyebrows, replace your pillowcase and sheets before bedtime.

  • If any seeping occurs, lightly dab with a Q-tip and apply aftercare ointment.

  • Use a clean, washed finger to lightly apply the specialized aftercare ointment to the microbladed area, just before bed.

DAY 2-7

  • Apply the specialized aftercare ointment only one or two times per day.

  • Itching is likely to occur throughout the early stages of the microblading healing process so most clients typically only use the cream when they are experiencing itching.

  • Be mindful to limit the application of the aftercare ointment to only twice per day to avoid suffocating the skin and interfering with the skin’s natural healing process.

ALL 10 DAYS

***It is critical to avoid the following during all 10 days after your microblading procedure.

  • Touching the eyebrow area except only when following the aftercare instructions for day one and also days two through seven.

  • Scratching, picking, or peeling the eyebrow area where the microblading occurred to prevent the pigment from being removed and also scarring

  • Sun exposure - sun tanning - salon tanning

  • Laser or chemical peels, and any other form of exfoliation

  • Exercise - participating in sports and activities that induce perspiration

  • Long hot baths or showers - jacuzzis - saunas - swimming

  • Applying any creams to your face or neck containing retinol or glycolic acid

  • Engaging in tasks that involve heavy household cleaning like the basement or garage where airborne debris is prevalent

  • Transportation in open air vehicles such as, convertibles, motorcycles, boats, and bicycles

  • Drinking alcohol in excess, as it can contribute to wounds healing slower

  • After day 10: It’s now okay to resume all your normal activities except, continue to avoid any creams containing retinal or glycolic acid until after the completion of your microblading touch up appointment, and it’s healing process as well.
